The modern world has, to a certain extent, become devoid of meaning. This predicament is doomed to intensify in the future. Human beings increasingly perceive their lives and endeavors as diminished in meaning, or even utterly meaningless. All these struggles—for what? All these preoccupations—to what end? Such are the questions that confront modern individuals today and tomorrow. Since antiquity, intellectuals and philosophers have sought to provide answers. Various branches of knowledge have endeavored to provide answers. Yet here, we aspire to address this matter through a mystical lens. We do not adopt an exclusively philosophical, psychological, or similar approach, for we hold that the issue must be considered on a grander, more multifaceted scale. Here, the views of Persian mystics on the meaning of life are taken into account.
